КОШКА — порода полудлинношерстных кошек, которая сформировалась на
территории Малой Азии. Возможно, она произошла от скрещивания домашней

города Ангора (Анкара). Шерсть средней длины, тонкая, шелковистая,
мягкая на ощупь, прилегает к телу. На шее и плечах она длинная и
образует воротник. На животе может быть волнистой. Подшерсток слабый,
особенно на спине. Чаще встречаются кошки белого цвета. И если в Европе
преимущественно разводят белых, то в Америке — разных окрасов.
Ангорская кошка несколько крупнее других пород. Голова короткая,
широкая, имеет форму заостренного книзу треугольника.
Подбородок закруглен. Нос средний, несколько скошен, розоватый. Уши
сильные, относительно короткие, вертикально посаженные, заостренные на
концах, несколько опущены. Ушные раковины внутри покрыты пучками
шерсти. Глаза большие, овальные, незначительно косо поставленные,
выразительные. По цвету глаз белых ангорских кошек разделяют на четыре

часть несколько приподнята. Шея средней длины, стройная, мощная. Грудь

Ноги длинные, крепкие, с красивыми круглыми лапами (задние длиннее
передних). Между пальцами — пучки волос. Хвост длинный, широкий у

касаться головы.
У российских ангорок глаза преимущественно зеленые — редкость для
